Recently I have made a number of illustrations with cats in famous paintings. One of the tasks from my client was to create a vector illustration of a cat as Van Gogh. I thought it was an incredibly stupid idea, and a fast google search showed a dozen cats painted as Van Gogh's self portraits. On a second thought, I decided that one more Van Gogh cat would not make any difference. One of the rejected drafts was too funny to just let it go, so I made a painting from it using acrylics and gouache.
Van Gogh, Self Portrait
The process brought me much more joy than I expected, so I continued to make paintings with cats. This is a personal project, which I do  because cats are too funny not to do it.
